Transistor is completely terminated when a radio station is selected whose stream URL is offline.
To Reproduce
Try to select radio station PROG FROG (stations url https://prog-frog.com/) on stream url - wihich was last online on 21.05.2023
https://listen.streemlion.com/radio_5fea3942d169b
Transistor tries to load the stream. After 5 - 10 seconds the message "Transistor wird geschlossen (Transistor is being terminated)" appears.
This also happens with other stations with oflline steream URLs.
Expected behavior
Transistor should display a message that the URL is not available.
Device:
Thanks for looking int o that matter.
And thank you for this great little app.
Update
It seems that a. m. steam is online via Transistor again. So you may try any other offline or incorrect stream URL. As Transistor will still be terminated after trying to access an broken or offline url.
I also receive messages "Transistor wird geschlossen (Transistor is being terminated)" when andoid is compleding an update of an app, even when Transistor is not running. Yesterday I had 9 apps updted and after each updated app this message appeared ;-(
Probaly the same problem like #463 ?
Hi @Bullenwaechter
I was able to reproduce the problem you reported initially (crash when stream is not available/outdated) and I fixed the problem that caused the crash. Thank you for the bug report!!
... as for the second issue (crash while updating other apps). I will try to reproduce that. And if that is possible I will try to find a fix.
Thank you y20k!
In the meantime I followed the solution #463, caused by update to 4.1.5 and importing data of an old installation. I deleeted the existing data and cache and add the staions manually. But the initial problem is still present.
I will monitor it.
It seems that [#463](#463 definitively solved my second problem. Transistor runs stable while other apps are being updated.
