Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When I open the app, there are no stations and I don't know what to search

Describe the solution you'd like
Download ALL the stations from radio-browser.info, and show them ordered by some criteria (name, most votes, most listeners ....).

This is what Shortwave and RadioDroid do.

Describe alternatives you've considered
RadioDroid

Hi @raffaem,

I understand there is a need for apps that allow users to browse and discover radio stations, but Transistor is at its core not that app. I see Transistor as an app that has links to your favorite radio stations and lets you play them back. This may make Transistor an app for a narrow use case niche. But this niche exists and there are real radio browser apps out there too, as you mentioned.

A bit of background. I want Transistor to be a single screen app. Because a) I think the above purpose only needs a single screen b) I need to be able to maintain the app (for which I barely had time over the last year). Given that, I am always a bit more skeptical towards feature request than other developers. Hope you are not disappointed.

Cheers

Hi,

at the moment I do not plan to add this feature. I understand why it would be nice to have this particular functionality. But I want to keep Transistor simple and maintainable. That is why I rarely add new features.

I will add your suggestion to the list "Previous discussions and feature requests".
