#161 Add HEY.com under Gmail alternatives

Hi there:

Andy here with Basecamp. I think our new email service, HEY.com, would be a good fit for this page: https://switching.software/replace/gmail/

But that's really up to you.

We built it with privacy at its very core because we were frustrated with just how bad and invasive Google can be.

If you have any questions you can reach me at andy@basecamp.com

Thanks

@thatdetroitandy thanks for the suggestion.

Is the used software open source, so one can verify the security and fix bugs themselves? The other recommended services are.

$99/year seem very expensive. my e-mail provider mailbox.org cost 1€ per month and is one of the best in germany, maybe even europe.

@davidak -- Thanks for the response. As you know there are thousands of options for email out there with varying degrees of feature and utility.

We'd be in the same general class as ProtonMail and Fastmail. ProtonMail is ~$57/year and Fastmail is $60-$108/year depending on tier. I think HEY is fairly priced considering the feature set and focus on design. We built HEY to be the best email service provider for our needs so it has a bunch of things that other email services don't have like The Screener, subject line renaming, built-in workflows, and so on.

hey.com uses Amazon AWS, which is worse than Google w.r.t ethics.

Amazon ethical problems are listed in issue #141.

HEY is proprietary. There are privacy-conscious libre options. Can this issue be closed?
