Direction, or is this kind of feedback useful to you?
Do you find these kinds of suggestions helpful? If yes, I would gladly provide user feedback … Btw, while this is your very own CI, I am looking for one too … a simple ci-server that i can run locally or remotely, use on personal projects or with a small trusted team, and that doesn't require docker.
People are using drone-ci and woodpecker and good old jenkins I guess … but there isn't a lightweight gitea-compatible, dockerless solution … and stuff like codeberg-ci is currently only a list of issues/a plan (also there are design incompatilities, e.g. "secure public and private workers", so I don't know if these two projects are going into the same direction).
codeberg-ci is real, they are trying woodpecker afaik.
Ideas and feedback like the two you mentioned is helpful and welcome. The API is more or less a hack, I guess, I would like to clean that up some time. I don't really see the appeal of having the same API as gitea, but I know that generating swagger-files would be really useful, so this is a thing I'm passively thinking about.
You are welcome to discuss ideas, send pull requests, especially if they are changing obvious quality of life things, which don't break anything, they most likely will be merged.
The goal of mvoCI is not to provide something like codeberg a CI solution, but have small teams, you can trust not to take over your machine with their build scripts or Makefiles.
