Social Coding initiative #2

I am exploring a new initiative called Social Coding together with @CSDUMMI which deals with bringing software development out of highly technical realms and within reach of all fedizens to ideate, form communities and spin off projects together. We are looking into Bonfire Networks, built in Elixir and using Pleroma AP code, to build on top of. Social Coding in the ideation phase would also need ways to investigate UX patterns. Both those that already exist, plus new concepts that might be created.

Social Coding is a broad concept, a new paradigm of "united software development" enabled by the Fediverse. We seek a bunch of collaborations (See: SocialCoding/discussion#6) with similar projects to get something of a movement off the ground. We are pre-launch and haven't announced yet.

This may tie in well with AP TypeRender project and ideas explored in #1. The Bonfire project themself is looking into new ways of offering richer UX than the usual microblogging UI we have.

Hi @deadsuperhero 👋

Following up to your great article about Greater Fediverse Architecture and related discussion referring to this project (I think)..

I created a Matrix chatroom Solidground to discuss "Solidground Matters" movement, a co-shared community for investigating more modular application architectures for the Fediverse.

There are a number of projects that want to go beyond launching 'app silos' and offer frameworks and libraries to get to a more extensible ecosystem. Bonfire and Go-Fed two examples. Your project fits right in there as well. Hence this heads-up if you are interested.
