in the website https://material.io/resources/icons/ aswell, alot of icon are missing. Is there a fallback if the icon is missing? I have turned off the block google font, I though it would help. Thanks

Thanks for the information. Looks like there's a difference between the version on GitHub (v3.0.2) and the version used on material.io.

material.io gets this: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:300,400,500,700,400italic|Roboto+Mono:400,500|Material+Icons

... and includes this:

@font-face {
  font-family: 'Material Icons';
  font-style: normal;
  font-weight: 400;
  src: url(https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/materialicons/v55/flUhRq6tzZclQEJ-Vdg-IuiaDsNc.woff2) format('woff2');
}

With the flUhRq6tzZclQEJ-Vdg-IuiaDsNc.woff2 file above, all icons are loaded correctly. Why Google doesn't show this on GitHub, or where the exact differences are (and why) is probably something only Google can answer.

Anyway, I have updated this.
