I took a look into wsrv.nl and it turned out to be a CDN is provided by Cloudflare.
It is open-source so get the code and self-host it!
Self-host wsrv.nlto Self-host wsrv.nl or use other things insteadHello HexagonCDN,
Self-hosting wsrv.nl or a similar service means that it is something that I will need to maintain.
While the Cloudflare CDN can be used for free, there still needs to be a server running to host the service. Currently, wsrv.nl runs on 3 servers https://wsrv.nl/faq/#where-are-your-servers-located.
If we run into any problems using wsrv.nl in the future such as rate-limits or privacy policy changes. I am willing to reconsider this again.
In the latest update, all image requests are rewritten so all requests appear to go to the same origin.
That's enough for me at the moment! Thank you!
