We need to figure out how to benchmark/score awfulness and terriblility in order to be able to resolve this.

Although I do believe I can ease the journey to awfulness with simple ineptitude, I believe that counting the number of subprocess.run calls already qualifies as 'evil'. So, the code has surpassed awful by a good country mile (we actually say that where I grew up).

I respectfully submit that you can in all good conscience close this ticket as resolved.

Since the docs are that outdated, there is no way you (we, the world) can compete with the level of awful. But, it'll probably run :)
