Slider value not matching with system settings #85

Describe the bug

Extension settings I have the highest at 9000 and lowest at 1000 however there is barely any noticeable effect when I put it to the warmest end of the slider.

The slider in system settings seems to follow the extension slider when moved to the warmest end, however when I move the slider again in the system settings it becomes much warmer which is what I want and how it used to behave.

I uploaded a video showing the slider, but I don't believe the effect is visible on the screencap.

This seem to have happened in the last month or two.

EDIT:
I moved the slider out of the sub menu and it seems to reach a darker value now (even after moving it back into the submenu), and now the system settings doesnt seem to go as dark.

Overall though the slider behaviour feels very strange and off, previous version seemed to work much nicer, will test with older versions shortly.

EDIT2:
After plugging in power to my laptop it appears to be working as intended now, it goes darker than the system settings rather than vice versa, even after removing power again.

However there is a comment on the extension page that someone was experiencing a similar issue.

Not sure, very strange.
Feel free to close this I guess.

System Information:

  • OS: Manjaro
  • GNOME Version: 3.38

Hmm interesting, the system settings' warmest is about 1700 & coolest is 4700 for me & by adjusting the slider to support 1500 I get a warmer value than that of the control center 🤔

I did do a major refactor recently & I may have introduced a couple of bugs. Thanks for reporting this, I'll try to observe this behaviour 😄 Adding a screen recording really helps!
