Tetrinfinity

This is an attempt at a 1:1 recreation of Tetris for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This project was made using GameMaker Studio 1.4, and it adds many new features on top of the original game.

Features

  • 16:9 widescreen
  • Versus and co-op multiplayer
  • Additional game modes (clear the garbage, endless, sprint, ultra, battle, and CTWC match)
  • Music from Gameboy Tetris and Famicom Tetris
  • Pro statistics
  • Hard drop, ghost piece, and DAS speed adjustment
  • Mirror mode
  • Start from level 20-29
  • Quit game from pause screen
  • Skip top-out animation
  • Enter high score name via keyboard
  • Probably more that I'm forgetting

Controls

  • ARROW KEYS: Navigate Menu
  • Z: Back
  • X: Select
  • ENTER: Start / Pause Game
  • ESC: Reset Game
  • F4: Toggle Fullscreen

Player 1

  • LEFT/RIGHT: Shift Piece
  • DOWN: Soft Drop
  • UP: Hard Drop (if enabled)
  • Z: Rotate Counterclockwise
  • X: Rotate Clockwise (hold in level select menu to add 10 to level number)
  • SPACE: Hold in level select to add 10 to level number (hold X and SPACE to add 20 in total)

Player 2

  • J/L: Shift Piece
  • K: Soft Drop
  • I: Hard Drop (if enabled)
  • A: Rotate Counterclockwise
  • S: Rotate Clockwise (hold in level select menu to add 10 to level number)
  • SHIFT: Hold in level select to add 10 to level number (hold S and SHIFT to add 20 in total)
