Support PGP fingerprints containing whitespace
Just ran into this "gotcha": I added my PGP fingerprint to my Mastodon profile metadata using the "OpenPGP" label and kept the blanks in the fingerprint that were inserted by the
gpg --fingerprint command for readability.
This caused keyoxide to not verify my identity claim (showing a red "X" mark). Removing the blanks on the fingerprint on my Mastodon profile fixed the issue. I'd like to request that the code that parses these fingerprints is made more robust and supports fingerprints that contain white space. Thanks!
It would be possible to remove all spaces from a proof before checking it for fingerprints! That would solve the issue without compromising anything, I think.
