toply

Always on top lyrics.

toply is a free lyrics displayer for desktop. Its basic functioning involves searching the web for lyrics (which is currently done through Searx), parsing the result and then displaying it above of all other open applications. The idea is to add compatible media players as requests appear - for now, the focus is to include VLC, Spotify and also a workaround for browsers (to be created using a WebExtension and a basic HTTP server). The app can be divided into two main tools: in case no .lrc file is found to the current song, a window is displayed so the timing can be filled by the listener. Otherwise, on the bottom, the lyrics per se are shown, following the song’s timing as expected.
