I really like this app and set up many subscriptions today. I also like putting things into categories so I made use of the colors. I had to remember which colors I'm using for what. I think it would be easier if I could have created some categories and assigned them a (freely choosable) color. This way I could also edit the color of all items in a category afterwards.
Hmm... Thought about some kind of category implementation, too. But I have to admit this has low priority so far for me. Maybe I think of this again after implementing some kind of handling "optional" inputs in the add-subscription-modal. I just have in my mind that I don't want users who don't use those features do have to scroll indefinitely and I want to keep things easy and clean if you know what I mean. :-)
Maybe you could use the description field as a workaround? Text in that field is searchable, too!
As categories would replace the color selection it would not expand the user interface. It's no must-have for me, just an improvement that came to my mind.
I'd like to help you with PRs, but I got no idea of TypeScript and stuff ;)
I was just about to post an improvement myself. (To give the subscription a status. For example, whether a subscription is still active or has been cancelled.)
I then saw the issue here and would agree with the creator here and also wish for the feature. This would make it possible to create a category such as "Active" or "Cancelled".
Maybe you could also use it to add a subscription to several categories. Sorting or grouping them would also make things much easier.
