So, I got another Warnung thst I had contact with a positive person, but where? In order to evaluate better whether or not this was reallz a contact that might caused an infection on my side or not, I would love to see this app to show me my position when I had this positive contact. Of course the position information must only be stored temporarily and only on the device and nowhere else.
This feature would remembering where that contact has taken place.
Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think this app is the place for this functionality.
This would involve significant complexity (and probably battery drain) which is better handled by apps specifically designed for this.
There's numerous location tracking apps on F-Droid, which can handle this in a privacy friendly manner. Yes, that wouldn't lead to an integration into the Risk status banner, but realistically we didn't even manage to integrate the information we already have (the time of the encounter) there. So my suggestion would be, use an external app for location tracing, then use the time you get from CCTG's detailed exposure recording data to cross-reference that with the recorded location.
Thanks for the feedback and the explanation. So I'll probably use https://github.com/bfabiszewski/ulogger-android for a continuous, battery a friendly and private recording of my location.
@nepomuc Are you fine with closing this issue now? It has already been marked as
wontfix
, so there probably won't be any development on this.
