[Bug]: Cannot Delete Profile in Deck Mode #9772

Closed
opened 2 months ago by Unattributed · 12 comments

What happened?

I created a "test" profile the other night to check something out. I've tried to delete it several times, but it doesn't go away. However, I do end up back on my default profile.

What did you expect to happen?

I expected the profile to be removed instead of it still being there.

Version

13.2.0-beta31

Instance

calckey.social

What browser are you using?

Firefox

I don't seem to be able to reproduce this. I can delete additional profiles normally. I can't delete the default profile, and it should give you an error message when trying to do that instead of acting like it will go through with the deletion, but that's about it. Not being able to delete the default profile doesn't seem to be a problem, you can just change it.

Strange, this is literally a test profile I created... This is what happens when I try to delete it:

Ahh - I'm wondering if it's a difference in the version(s)... Your instance is on 13.2.0-dev13, whereas calckey.social is on 13.2.0-beta3.

I'm unable to reproduce the issue on calckey.social...

Very strange... I'm totally confused as to what could be causing this. I've closed out my session, wiped my cache, and then opened and tried it again -- but still it's not deleting.

@thatonecalculator what browser were you using? That's about the only left that I can think of on this side...

Tested on both Chromium on my phone and Firefox on my computer. See if there's any bugged data for you in https://calckey.social/registry/keys/system/client/deck/profiles

@thatonecalculator It just opened my default deck... Was I supposed to see something different?

Doesn't look like anything is wrong:

I'll try deleting it from here...

And that did it -- deleting it from the registry worked.

I'm still cornfuzzled... 😁

I can't reproduce it no matter how much I try, so I'll say this was a weird glitch. Feel free to reopen if it ever happens again.

Update: I was able to reproduce on multiple instances on vanilla Firefox, but not LibreWolf or Chromium.

Update: I was able to reproduce on multiple instances on *vanilla* Firefox, but not LibreWolf or Chromium.
