What feature would you like implemented?

When you hover over Lists or Antennas at the top right of timelines, instead of showing a popup with the name of the feature and needing a click to display the menu, it should just display the menu upon hover.

Why should we add this feature?

OK I know I had suggested the current behaviour, but I was thinking how we can encourage usage of antennas and lists by making them easier to access. So right now you have to first click on the icon and then click again to choose a specific antenna/list. We could cut this down from two clicks to just one, just by displaying the menu directly upon hover. And because the first choice is "Manage Lists" and "Manage Antennas" respectively, this practically works as an explanation of what these icons are about, so perhaps we don't need the popup with the name of the feature. If we still want it it could appear above the icon (although that would be the url bar usually, and it would be out of screen in fullscreen mode) or perhaps we could replace "Manage Antennas" with just "Antennas" - after all, when you go to More! > Antennas, it also takes you to the "Manage Antennas" page, so we're already calling these pages just Antennas and Lists in the menu.

This is probably the cleanest solution: Make the menu a popup upon hover and replace Manage xxx with xxx (which remains clickable and still takes you to the Manage xxx page).

I was also thinking maybe showing a list of chips at the top of the timeline for them? Kind of like tabs

Or if you have a lot of them only show them there if you pin them

Yes, I was also thinking of something like that! To have instant access to some of them, making their use more like timelines. Just suggested this, after some thought, as the easiest possible change in that direction.

However, because we also have #9340 planned, perhaps we should not overcomplicate things and let this be done by custom timelines. So for the time being perhaps what I suggest in this issue would be enough. But yeah, eventually timeline plugins should also allow you to create a custom timeline based on a List or an Antenna (or a combination with AND or OR).
