I'd like to keep track of people and groups that may be interested to participate or collaborate, and who we may approach before (or after) our project announcement (see #4).
We can elicit their help to broaden the 'announcement campaign'. Checking these boxes after we had a good back-and-forth and explaining of plans:
The Bonfire team via their Matrix chatroom. We might have a vidcall with them before announcing.
Loïc Dachary, @dachary of Forgefriends community obviously, as this project closely aligns with Social Coding.
Sean Tilley, @deadsuperhero working on postmodern/ap_typerender#1 which focuses on UI building blocks for federated apps.
@PaulaToThePeople who runs Fediverse Town in collab with SocialHub.
We might bring Social Coding as a sub-project into the broader perspective of a Sci-fi Labs Federated Worldbuilding initiative.
Informed via Fediverse Foundation: let's get serious! topic on Fediverse Town.
Mentioned Social Coding in discussion How to contribute to the Fediverse as a non-developer?
The Open Hospitality Network @mariha and Karrot Nick Sellen, for our shared needs for community management.
David Sterry, @weex to maybe align with Magic Stone methodology, based on ZeroMQ's C4 'Collective Code Construction Contract'. See C4-tools.
Informed David via Matrix DM. He's interested and reading background information.
David joined our chatroom with: "Looking forward to see how I can help and what new ideas might come from Social Coding!"
@houkimenator, organizer of Fedijams and planning an itch.io-like fedi platform. See Federated Game Store in Fediverse Futures on Lemmy.
Laura Michaels showing interest in Social Coding in this Fediverse Foundation topic
Mayel posted in Bonfire chat about LearnDeep university students group in Milwaukee USA, hacking on Bonfire. We can approach this group to see if the Social Coding vision appeals to them.
Weblite initiative on Codeberg, creating lightweight CSS, HTML, XML specifications.
Dave Lane, tireless FOSS advocate and advocate / pracititioner of OER.
Kristian in relation to this fedi discussion on the topic.
@lightone of Fediverse Party fame. Especially since ActivityPub watchlists may become Delightful lists and Delightful be brought under Social Coding umbrella.
Sent a DM on Christmas Day. Can help in announcing, spreading the word, maybe coding later.
"I wonder if your initiative has a space for initiatives like "Winter of Coding" (proposed by Framasoft against Google Summer of Code / Hacktoberfest - but never realized). I'd be super excited to take part in organizing smth like that for Fedi projects"
@yarmo of Keyoxide and Delightful Club now that we consider moving Delightful under Social Coding umbrella.
Esther Payne of Librecast and FOSS / fedi advocate herself.
Alja Isakovic of ResponsibleTech.Work involved in responsible product development.
Nick Sellen of Karrot, a community platform, and having unique insights in community organization.
Add more people freely as we move along..
Though right now we have the Discuss Social Coding co-shared community forum and I have name-dropped Social Coding to many people without listing in this issue, I'll continue to add some notable places of PR here.
Informed the CC Strategy & Planning matrix chatroom with 74 people in it.
