Sony Z5c, can't add Mi Band 1S on Android Marshmellow
When trying to add a band within the App (press +), the device leaves the App and switches to the Sony bluetooth view.
Here it's not possible to add or pair the miband.
Hello, our code tries to send the user to the system Bluetooth settings where usually new devices may be discovered/paired. If it doesn't happen on your system that's because your vendor has put these functionalities somewhere else (it's unfortunate but it happens).
I assume you are using android 6, because otherwise gadgetbridge wouldn't have redirected you.
You can add your miband by finding the system Bluetooth settings and proceeding from there (it's the same app you would use to pair a new headphone or any other Bluetooth device), choose your miband from there and tap it when it starts to vibrate, then gadgetbridge will recognise it.
In the meantime I tried pairing it the way you described and sadly it didn't work.
Other methods of pairing also didn't work.
I think it must have to do with marshmallow.
Since I updated my note 4 to marshmallow a week ago I'm unable to connect with it, too.
Only the mi fit app seems to be able to connect to it.
FWIW, other people have the same problem. There's a long thread at http://en.miui.com/thread-172180-1-1.html with a blog posting offering solutions at http://kowsikbabu.blogspot.de/2016/06/mi-band-pairing-issuesproblems-fix-mi.html
If someone succeeds with this, I'd appreciate to know what worked.
Deleting a branch is permanent. It CANNOT be undone. Continue?
