Your issue is:
I listen to podcasts and audiobooks very often and want to be able to control playback with my watch. I got the Mi Band 5 to use the Gadgetbridge app, since it supports "Music Control" according to the feature list (https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/src/branch/master/FEATURES.md). Unfortunately, this does not seem to apply to the "Audible" app, as all I get on my watch is the message "Moment...". In general, the playback control seems to work correctly with other apps (e.g. Podcast Addict), but unfortunately not with Audible. It can't really be the Audible app, since I already had a Fitbit and a Garmin watch in the past and the Audible playback control worked without any problems with them.

Have you tried to audible as your preferred audio player in settings?
Thank you for your tip. However, I have already tried that. Unfortunately, setting audible as my preferred audio player didn't help either.
