I got Gadgetbridge from:
- I built it myself from source code (specify tag / commit)
Your issue is:
Many Android 10 apps generate verbose text notifications, which can't be quickly read via small band screens. A good example is the Ring app -
Instead of the following text:
"Your Side Door in Basement at Seattle was locked."
It would be better just to see (could be a generally-applicable rewrite)
"Side Door Basement Seattle locked."
I personally really only need to see (I would write my own regex to slice out just the bit I need)
Ideally, it would be possible to apply a regex to all notifications originating from the Ring app to slice out the padding text. It would be great to be able to build up a library of those "app notification rewrite rules" over time, so that people could share them.
Your wearable device is:
Amazfit Bip. But, notification rewrites should be device independent.
Your android version is:
Your Gadgetbridge version is:
F-Droid latest as at 27-Oct-2020.
I would love this feature as well, although I am very careful what notifications I let through nowadays.
BTW, loo like a very colorful labeling bug in gitnex...
