Feature request Button for fetch-all and export

Summary

An user requested that it would be very nice if Gadgetbridge had a button to fetch and export all the activities with a single button-press - instead of having to refresh and export each activity individually.

I took a quick peek at the code and I think there’s automatic data fetching but not export? I unfortunately don’t have a device with this functionality to be 100% sure.

What the user means is the activity activities - ok we have a problem with how we call things.

Historically activity trackers just tracked how much you moved and how many steps you had during a minute, that is what we called “activity”.

Now there are workouts which also include other activities which are not exactly “workouts”. Some devices say “activity” on their screen which means that you start an activity like riding a bike.

The user means the second thing.

And I have no idea how to use the terms correctly.

The user means the second thing.

Yes, you’re correct.

And I have no idea how to use the terms correctly.

Technically it could be renamed to “Activity (movement)” and “Activity (actions)"? E.g. to differentiate between fetching movement information (steps) and fetching activity info (workouts)?

The Android Activity in Gb (speaking of confussion :) in question is called ActivitySummariesActivity, so the word Summary is a good distinguisher i think.

So we have Activity/Activities (steps, HR, sleep) and Activity Summary/Activity Summaries, which is a defined block of time, steps, hr... with additional data (GPS, type of activity...). So what we could do it rename the title of the list from “Activities” to “Activity Summaries”

Btw, in the watch, steps, hr... are under “Status”, while Activity Summary are under Activity.
