@etwotoe

Thanks for reporting.
I will test that.
Meanwhile you might want to downgrade to the last working version.
Any idea which version was still working?

No thank you, first thanks for a superb app, you’re a hero.

I first came from default firmware of the watch 2.3.0.6. I upgraded to latest because of not detecting deep sleep, I compare with my miband2 which says 3-4h deep sleep but miband 3 only shows 19min total and some nights no deep sleep.

I now downgraded one step to 2.4.0.20, it now detect sleep but deep sleep seems to be same problem again, not accurate.

I’m going to try tonight one more time with dualband 2/3 on me. I post again results.

Interesting, 2.4.0.12 on here, didn’t even notice there is newer update. Good to know 2.4.0.20 is still OK.

Sleep is for sure related to this one: #1763

@etwotoe

Last night I tested 2.4.0.32 and it did work as always (no real deep sleep but sleep detection).

The only difference seems that I have the Wuhan variant and not Hankou.

A few things to check:

  • selected the correct wrist (left/right)?
  • enabled “improve sleep detection with HR” or something in Mi Band settings?

@vanous

Are you willing to update and verify? Which variant do you have?

@ashimokawa
Tested last night again with both mibands.
Mi2 showed 2,33min deep sleep under different times.
mi3 showed 29min deep sleep (I’m now on 2.4.0.20) improvement, but deep sleep is only from when I first when to bed and 29min in, after 29min it show only light sleep I’m using Hankou, no other firmware works to update with for me.
I always use left wrist, I recheck it after firmware update, make sure settings are correct again. HR is on for improved sleep.
I also use HR all day every 5min, maybe that messes things up?

@etwotoe

It should not mess up things whey you use a 5 min interval.

Quoting myself from #1763

“It [the deep sleep problem] is present in[with] ALL Huami devices, with the exception of VERY EARLY factory version of the Amazfit Bip and older Mi Band 2 firmwares.

The reason is that the devices do no longer properly distinguish between light and deep sleep but set some “flags” or “hints” for later analysis which is probably done in Mi Fit.

We ignore those information completely because despite of some theories and discussion, it is still unclear how all this works. This information still lands in the database, so if we fix analysis it will retroactively work.”
