Currently avatars for anonymous/ghosted users and commits without matching local users are rendered as gitea logo, which is nice, but slightly misleading.
A proper anonymous avatar would be nice.
What about something like this?
Nice one. Deployed to codeberg-test.
Is this generated this as pixel image, or from a vector source?
It’s an Inkscape vector image. It just wouldn’t let me post an SVG in the comments. Is there somewhere I can upload the SVG to? Not sure how to create a pull request out of it…
To grow some documentation, I started a wiki page: https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Documentation/wiki/Pull-requests-and-GIT-flow
Does this help? Please let us know if anything does not work, or the example has to be extended.
Just to be sure: Is this your original creation? If so, what is the license? ;)
@Blort : We would like to deploy this avatar if you grant us permission as part of the build-deploy-gitea repo.
Yes, it’s entirely my own creation (I didn’t even use a reference image). I’m happy to put it under any FOSS compatible license that suits the project. Just let me know and I’ll add a note to the SVG metadata.
Is there somewhere I can upload the SVG to? Just please just don’t tell to figure out how to clone your repos, make pull requests etc just to give you a file…
maybe easiest to simply send it to firstname.lastname@example.org?
Deployed the PNG for the time being. Nice work!
No due date set.
