`git clone` results in `fatal: unable to update url base from redirection:`
I am not managing to clone a repository, why is it so?
$ git clone https://codeberg.org/ideasman42/emacs-scroll-on-drag.git Cloning into 'emacs-scroll-on-drag'... fatal: unable to update url base from redirection: asked for: https://codeberg.org/ideasman42/emacs-scroll-on-drag.git/info/refs?service=git-upload-pack redirect: https://codeberg.org/ideasman42/emacs-scroll-on-drag.git/info/refs?X-OpenDNS-Session=<something_that_might_be_a_secret?>
side note 1: I didn't want to create an account and fiddle with SSH keys, so using HTTPS would have been smooth. I created an account anyway just to report this issue.
side note 2: Creating the account was not smooth: Codeberg sends and "activation email" that takes a maximum of 3 hours to be sent, then I have 3 hours to activate my account. By the time I received the email I was already gone for the day, so I needed to start over the day after. The email also got sent to my junkbox. Codeberg seems to be a nice alternative to Microsoft's GitHub, but these issues might create an unncessary entry barrier: can't clone anything, can't create an account, can't get started.
Are you behind some company network / VPN / Open DNS thing? We don't have any relation to OpenDNS, and your url seems to be redirected to include some meta tag about them.
