Yesterday there has been a significant announcement of the Gitea project: Open source sustainment and the future of Gitea. Though many details are as yet unknown it is clear that they will impact the community and ecosystem around the project. Some major points mentioned in the announcement:
There is a Hacker News discussion ongoing as well. I hope that more information will be available very soon. It can be seen that people are worried about the implications.
Creating this issue for discussion how Codeberg and its members / users look towards this development as more information becomes available.
