Real Webfeeds (RSS/Atom, aka "Newsfeed")
I was at my own profile page. In the top menu (below the blue codeberg menu) there is point "Öffentliche Aktivitäten" (public activities).
There is a RSS-Logo in front of that menu point. It is a black-and-white version of the original RSS-Logo that can be found on that Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_feed .
From a users point of view I would expect to really have a RSS-Feed here. But there is none. My own reader my plugins and my own eyes looking into the page source code can not find any url to a rss or atom file.
Short solution: Remove the RSS logo.
Long solution (maybe gitea related?): Offer a RSS feed for the users activies and for the project activities.
The only "element" on codeberg.org offering a RSS feed is the Codeberg Blog itself.
It is the same when "Facebook" names it news page a "feed". Which is not correct but a stolen word.
With respect to the Standards and the people (e.g. Aaron Swartz) who developed and established them we should remove the logo.
I do not see a need for a logo there. The words are enough. Technically use an empty 1x1 image.
... if it's about adding RSS. If it's about removing the logo until you're done, this can be forwarded to some designer. But I think, working on actual RSS sounds like the better idea.
... will close as dupe, assuming you prefer real RSS over caring about icon-discussions, too ... ? I don't mind reopening (you should be able to do this, too), we can then forward this ... but it isn't worth the effort IMHO.
