We have detected scam organization /GLAT

They have recently moved from website NotABug.org due to frequent takedowns.

We recommend contacting their web hosting provider too. Their website is scam.

We recommend you to track website glatks.rf.gd

GLAT Server is licensed under GNU AGPLv3 and they frequently update source code link.

I have one GLAT product key from unknown source. I might send it to you if you want as it might be useful in fighting GLAT scam.

There will be some more attacks on Codeberg.org.

NotABug.org admin said they are almost always using Tor.

We have also found that they are abusing websites demo.simplacms.ru and demo.simplacommerce.com (they contain some vulnerabilities enough to run a proxy or send spoofed emails).

It looks like users are leaving Linux due to mandatory license policy. They are using BSD systems now.

GNU/Linux Activation Technologies will be replaced by Unix System Activation Client (USAC) for Unix-like systems and Operating System Activation Server (OSAS) soon.

Microsoft Corporation will run the only Root Key Server.

GLAT is most likely dead. Their scam server access is now restricted and most spoof mail services may be blacklisted on major GNU/Linux distributions mailing lists.

Most distributions are now protected against such attacks.

I think scammers will disappear soon. This issue may be closed.

blacklisted on major GNU/Linux distributions mailing lists

Good news. Let's keep it open for the time being until we can be reasonably sure, tho.

On GLAT-notes they say there were only three licenses and now they are here.

It is not possible to find GLAT staff anywhere unless they open their repository and/or website and then they disappear permanently. You may try using some keys on their Key Server.

Unfortunately, all three keys will be definitely blacklisted as they are leaked so you cannot use them to track GLAT. You may purchase their license wasting your bitcoins however.

Also, scammers might appear under different name anytime.

Please remove  reaction on GLAT website down message. They were not real people but might be anonymous GLAT agents.

Really, nobody cares.

Everybody knows:

Nobody has to pay for Free and Open Source licenses. GPL is free as in Freedom, and free as in free of paywalls and fees to access knowledge.

Closing this issue on the other hand will make it less easy to find via search engines, let's keep it open to help people to find out about the attempted scam.

I have just executed few GLAT Client versions in sandbox. None worked due to some error in hardware ID code which lasted for many releases.

It means nobody ever tested GLAT Client from their staff.

Most likely nobody has been scammed and this stuff has been created by person or people behind GLAT. There were some keys on StackExchange websites which never worked.

Actual Bitcoin addresses appeared somewhere but no money has been transferred before they were flagged as scam.

Most likely they will leave Codeberg because of disposable email registration troubles.

I think they will cease using name GLAT soon because of complete discreditation of this name.

Anyway, Operating System Activation Technologies might appear in future. I will take names OSActivation and OSAT to make scam more difficult.

Update: names taken + OSA name

It is recommended to ban my account (but keep organizations) now to prevent GLAT scammers from breaking into it and using this names.

This account is registered on disposable email.

Happy Hacking
