hi codeberg,

i would like woodpecker to trigger only on main and develop branches, mainly to save resources being wasted on messy/broken feature branches.

as per the docs https://woodpecker-ci.org/docs/usage/pipeline-syntax#branches, i added +branches [ main, develop] to my .woodpecker.yml file, but it still seems to trigger.

perhaps you have an idea about how to fix this? i'm a CI novice.

my yml file is at https://codeberg.org/martianh/mastodon.el/src/branch/main/.woodpecker.yml

Hi @martianh!

The solution is to remove the + from the line where you set the branches.

Replace:

+branches: [ main, develop ]

with

branches: [ main, develop ]
