My first use case for Finch: Home Page for my web browser #44

I don't want to overload it as a wiki for everything.

But as a well-organized directory to everything with meta-data about those things.

Not a glamorous use case, but for such a small and fast wiki, it is an immediately practical way to use it every day.

I love that as a use for it! A home page for links and maybe even reminders for things to read or look up would be pretty nice.

Thought:

Embed my Google Calendar in an iframe, week view, 100% width, and just tall enough for me to see the "all day" items.

"All day" items: things like "garbage day" (alternating weeks for blue-bin recycling and gray-bin recycling), things like bills due on particular days, etc. etc.

Then I can scroll down to see items scheduled at particular times.

Or setup two calendar views: the one described above and another that displays in "Agenda" view.

Heck, as many calendar views as needed. Work-related, personal, events to celebrate, whatever.

So Home Page kind of like a portal to all kinds of things + the goodness of whatever a light and agile Feather Wiki brings.

@CharlieJV I like this idea a lot. I just embedded a calendar using Agenda as the default view, 430x430 - doesn't take up much space, but have all important items front and center. (retired, so only need one view)

Now if I can also embed/transclude a todo page as well...
